Propel started in 2019 with a single app and a simple frustration: every tool we installed on our Shopify store felt like it had been built by someone who'd never actually run one.
We set out to fix a narrow slice of that. Replays — our first product — helped merchants watch how real shoppers actually used their store. It grew, we added more tools alongside it, and the pattern became the company: pick a real merchant problem, build the tightest possible solution, and keep it obsessively well-crafted.
Today Propel is five apps, thousands of stores across every country Shopify operates in, and a team that still answers support tickets personally. We're profitable, independent, and planning to stay that way.
